How to claim your Medicare rebate
If you have paid for your vasectomy in full and the practice has not submitted a
claim on your behalf you will need to submit your claim to Medicare to receive your rebate.
There are several ways to do this:
- Upload a copy of your paid invoice to your Medicare Online account:

To claim your Medicare rebate, you need a copy of your invoice, listing the services received and confirming the account is paid in full. Your invoice will be emailed within 48 hours of your appointment. If you haven’t received the invoice, please write to us at info@vasectomyaustralia.com.au.
Vasectomy Australia will submit the medicare claim on your behalf, however, if it this could not be done then you will need to submit your claim to medicare to receive the rebate.
